The THANZ Science and Education Trust enables our Society’s ambition of supporting and developing careers in coagulation science. Funding for the Trust originated from the revenue of the 2005 ISTH Congress in Sydney. The funding received is invested in perpetuity, and grants conferred from investment returns. Additional revenue, received via sponsorships, is added to the corpus. Grants are scrutinised by volunteers from the membership and disbursement of funds is managed by the Council. The S&E Trust received a further donation from the ISTH Legacy Fund, following the ISTH 2019 Congress in Melbourne.
